Ana Vidal is a documentary and editorial photographer working between Lisbon and Mexico City. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, National Geographic, T Magazine, and the New York Times Magazine.
She is the recipient of a 2024 World Press Photo honourable mention for her long-form work on inland fishing communities in northern Portugal, and her first monograph, Sal, was published by Loose Joints in 2025.
When not on assignment she teaches a yearly workshop in Mexico City and serves as a mentor for the Magnum Foundation's Emergency Fund program.
